Digital Cinema & Video Gear Rental in Budapest
We at Video Crew Hire strive to use the latest and most advanced professional video gear on our shoots. This helps to achieve smooth filming and makes the client and the crew happy. Good jobs are done effortlessly only with good tools. However, we are not a dry hire rental company. We do not dry hire our camera kits or any other pieces of our filming arsenal. We are providing our corporate and broadcast clients with the best available, professional equipment. Therefore we do not use hired gear on our shoots, since those rigs in Central & Eastern Europe are heavily abused and unreliable most of the time. To protect our equipment, we never dry hire them out to third parties. We are renting out film gear with experienced English speaking assistants only. Those assistants can act as sound man on the shoots.
This is what happened in Budapest recently, where we have supplied the end client (French broadcaster) with English speaking sound man and camera gear. This was a 2 days shoot involving filming at several locations in Budapest, mainly in the center of town. The subject was the cultural resistance in Hungary during communist time. Due to the various locations and difficult parking situation in the center, our crew had to work fast. We decided to run everything on batteries to save time and slimline gear we take. All the lamps, audio and camera equipment were running on battery power. This way we avoided carrying lots of extension cables and big lights with C-stands and sand bags. We saved time at the locations a we did not have to look for wall sockets, cable runs. We did not have to worry about overloading the local systems, which were real issues as the shoots happened mostly in old houses.
