People may think, that filming in (Central) Eastern Europe is as easy as renting a camera crew in London. Nothing can be further from reality. The industry is extremely small in these Eastern European countries. Rental options are very limited, due to small domestic demand. There are hardly any freelancers here with proper gear. Media workers are badly payed, they can not afford to buy their own gear.
The market is run mainly by moonlighters with battered rented gear.
