This is what congress organisers say about the event in Berlin this year:
“The main objective of the Congress will be to provide a new perspective of the medical and sociological aspects of woman’s health and disease at midlife and beyond, with a view to how our changing society challenges or helps us in our daily practice.

We are excited to introduce two new program elements: The EMAS School on Wednesday, 15 May 2019, which will attract medical professionals who are new to the specialty; the German Day on Friday, 17 May 2019, will have sessions in the German language and draw on experts from the German-speaking world. The Congress will thus offer innovative formats in addition to the classic plenary speeches and symposia, with sessions where interaction and exchange of clinical expertise will be the main goal, making the participants the true protagonists.
The main topic of EMAS 2019 is women’s health and disease at midlife and beyond, the main issue of “menopause societies”. In Germany we have the largest local menopause society worldwide, whose members are mostly gynecologists, reflecting the vast interest in this field”
